BUYING FROM CLARK’S GARAGE AND CAR SALES

Car warranties

Our cars come with a minimum three-month Warranty First repair plan. Each advert names the included level and duration and links to that level’s own page. Extended durations are available on selected cars; ask us for the options and price.

Compare the levels

Fuel type determines the plan family. Age and mileage are checked when the plan starts. Meeting an entry criterion does not automatically mean a particular level is included with a car: use the level shown on its advert and sale documents.

Components and benefits compared

Listed parts means the specific components named in the booklet. All three levels have conditions and exclusions; a feature fitted to a car does not automatically qualify for repairs.

Journey’s DPF consideration is restricted to £250 and one repair per plan; injectors are limited to two per plan. Car hire, hotel/transport and other conditions are described on each level’s page.

Separate wear-and-tear limits

Journey Core and Journey only consider the specified wear items up to 110,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. Journey+ uses that limit for its standard wear list, with a lower limit of 80,000 miles or seven years for cambelt, turbocharger and supercharger wear. These are separate from the criteria for starting a plan.

How the plan works

Your individual plan schedule confirms the level, duration, start and end dates, any customer contribution and labour allowance. Warranty First assesses repair requests at its discretion under the supplied booklet and schedule. The plan is additional to your statutory consumer rights and does not replace or restrict them.

The detailed Journey summaries use the Cars booklet. Hybrid and electric summaries use Warranty First’s current product pages; their own booklets set the complete component lists and conditions. Always use the documents supplied with your individual car.

If your car develops a fault

  1. Report it promptly.

Contact us or Warranty First with your vehicle and plan details. Stop driving if continuing could worsen the fault or affect safety.

  2. Arrange the requested diagnosis.

Warranty First may ask for a garage report, service records, MOT details, proof of ownership or repair invoices.

  3. Wait for authorisation.

Do not start repair work until Warranty First has reviewed and agreed the request.
